Emma 1st Birthday!!!!!

Our baby is now a big girl, she is one!!!!  Emma had a great 1st birthday celebrating with our families.  My parents and my sisters and most of my nieces and nephews came up from South Dakota which was so special for us.
Emma enjoyed having everyone around and celebrating with her.  She also got so many great gifts from everyone, Emma was thrilled with everything.

Getting ready for some cake!

Good thing Cousin Dawson was able to help to blow out the candle

Getting ready to dig in, but she was not that interested, so Emma
just got a small taste.

Christmas is finally here!

Emma's 1st Christmas was a huge success.  We had a wonderful time preparing for Christmas.  Johnny did an amazing job hanging lights on the outside of the house and I did an okay job decorating the inside.  Emma loved the Christmas tree, after she stole and broke 4 ornaments we had to put a gate around it.  Maybe next year will be less tempting...maybe...

Unfortunately, we did not go see my family in South Dakota this Christmas.  They were all coming up the weekend after Christmas to celebrate Emma's 1st birthday, so we just stayed in Minneapolis for Christmas and had a wonderful time celebrating with John's family.  John's sister was in town fromWashington DC, so she was able to spend a lot of time with Emma, which Emma loved.  Emma loves to play peek-a-boo and Aunt Sarah is the best peek-a-booer ever!

Here are some pics from the week before Christmas and Christmas day.  Enjoy!

Emma loves her rocking chair.

Emma really loves pulling Aunt Sarah's hair while rocking.

Yes, Emma, Santa does exist!

I don't think Emma is believing the story Aunt Sarah is telling.

Grandpa Eian knows how to tell a really good story on Christmas Eve.

Excited to be celebrating Emma's 1st Christmas

Emma loves it when Aunt Sarah blows bubbles.  Very entertaining.

Emma's so big!

Emma loves storytime with Grandma Eian.

Santa came on Christmas morning!!!!

Santa did good, she loves it!

Another great toy from Santa.

Daddy's putting it together.
Move faster daddy!

Finally, Emma gets to play with her puppy!

Checking out all of the presents at Grandpa & Grandma Eian's house.

Matching pj's for Emma and Sarah - adorable!

Cookie Party!

Since we now have a house to actually invite more than 2 people over at a time, we decided to host a cookie decorating Christmas party.  We had a great time having many friends and their children come over to decorate cookies and to play with Emma.  Emma loved all of the children so much.  She does not know how to share yet, so she was having fun taking toys away from the younger children, but when some older kids came, she got a taste of her own medicine.

Emma has so much fun playing with Hannah and Hailey who
loved "babysitting" Emma at our cookie party.

I think Emma is very smitten with 8 month old Charlie.

Charlie seemed to like Emma too!

Emma with Anna (3) and Nora (2).  Are they not the cutest
girls ever!

William (10 months) was brave and came to visit Emma again.
Once again Emma was taking toys from him but I have a
feeling next time he will fight back.

Emma did not like it when Nora played with Emma's
favorite Maynard car.

Nora was very sweet and gave it back to Emma right away.
Thank you Nora!

Emma had a great day hanging out with all of our cookie party guests.
